my little dhaka - 2016 - HD - 15 min
synopsis
Rome has the largest Bangladeshi community in Europe. Since the ‘90s in the neighbourhood of Tor Pignattara Bengali fast-food restaurants and traditional dance schools have opened next to the old local shops and people pray facing Mecca in garages turned into places of worship. My little Dhaka is a journey into the everyday life of this suburb, that has been enriched by the stories that have passed through it, and that have inevitably changed its aspect.
